Westerville, OH – 10/01/2024 – Sensience, a leader in innovative sensing solutions, has unveiled its new 30G Dual A2L gas sensor, designed specifically for use with R-32 and R454B flammable refrigerants.  With the HVAC-R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) industry requirements mandating the use of low global warming potential refrigerants, which include A2Lrefrigerants, to meet environmental sustainability goals, Sensience’ s Therm-O-Disc 30G A2L gas sensor provides an excellent solution for detecting refrigerant leaks in residential, commercial, and industrial settings to help the equipment OEMs comply with UL and IEC safety standards.

A2L refrigerants offer lower global-warming-potential (GWP), but their mild flammability necessitates rigorous monitoring for potential leaks. Sensience’ s new 30G dual gas sensor is a critical component in safeguarding systems and adhering to stringent environmental and safety regulations.
